Lessons from Pink Floyd

Time by Pink Floyd

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way

Tired of lying in the sunshine
Staying home to watch the rain
And you are young and life is long
And there is time to kill today
And then one day you find
Ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run
You missed the starting gun

And you run, and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's sinking
Racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in a relative way, but you're older
Shorter of breath and one day closer to death

Every year is getting shorter
Never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to nought
Or half a page of scribbled lines
Hanging on in quiet desparation is the English way
The time is gone
The song is over
Thought I'd something more to say

The Message by Courtney David Roth

Every body has 24 hours in a day.
So why are some people extremely
productive and happy while others
spin their wheels until they're exhausted?

The answer is incredibly simply but
often ignored.

The happy, successful person plans
their time. They have goals and they
stick to a plan to achieve those goals.

You can't manage what you don't
measure.

Do you plan your time? Do you know
how much time you waste? Do you
truly know how productive you are?

People often think and speak of
wanting more in life but these same
people rarely create specific goals,
plan their time to reach these goals, and then
ACTUALLY FOLLOW THE PLAN.

If you're unhappy, unsuccessful, and
unsatisfied AND you're unwilling
to create goals, plan time, and follow
through then...

You will forever be frustrated.

If you want change then change what
you do.

Start measuring your time. Keep a
journal for a week and accurately
track how you spend your time.

Then create goals and find time to
work towards them.

Yes, THERE IS TIME.

Absolutely no one can claim to not
having enough time.

NO ONE!

I will laugh at anyone who attempts
to explain to me how there is no way
they could not find time to work towards
there dream.

That is honestly laughable.

It's time to suck it up, be a grown
up, and be a success...

On Purpose.

Plan your day and stick to it.

If you don't have your day planned
out on paper your life will never improve.

Much love and respect.
